Gotham Bar and Grill - West Village

Gotham Bar and Grill has been around in a hood where there was NOTHING in 1984. There was nothing in 1990 either when JP used to work there. Kudos to you GB for stickin' it out!

Ok, so we came here with our friend Josh, who bellied up to the bar and ordered a Crown on the rocks. Now while my belly hurts from laughing so hard, ya gotta know Josh. Not his drink. Josh what were ya thinkin? He's the Big Daddy IPA, Blue Moon Beer type a guy. Oh with the occasional Froofy umbrella drink, but don't tell anyone.

Another James Beard award winner, along with Judy from Zuni in San Francisco. Alfred Portale, you rock. 3 words: Porcini Mushroom Risotto. Man o man. And that's only the second course. The menu changes, but hopefully when you go, it'll be there. Then try either the Miso Marinated Black Cod or any Lamb cuz it's baaaaaeautiful. (Poor taste, I know, not the food, the joke.) And the wine? They have Kistler on the list, need i say more?

So check it out, last minuters can eat at the bar. Great service, and stuff your wallet before you leave the house.
