Zuni Cafe - Civic Center

Zuni is classic! Been around forever in restaurant years. Since 1979. These guys have been a very happening spot in a very happening area. Who doesn't like Zuni? Fools, that's who. Judy Rodgers, awarded James Beard Outsanding Chef Award owns this place. And an outstanding chef she is!

Very fun bar and the place looks out onto Market St., great people-watching inside and out. Pretty people at a long copper bar throwing back 'tinis. Our typa place.

And there are many naysayers that bitch about the $60 roasted chicken for two that you need to call ahead for them to make. It's a full chicken and it's the best friggin poulet roti we've had outside of Paris. So screw you naysayers. Other yummies include any pasta they make and the burger is really off the hook. Oyster lovers? This is YOUR place.

They also serve a killer brunch if you're trying to impress after a bender. They make a bloody mary with balsamic. Yowsa

Put on your best Gucci shoes and your Burberry jacket, go half hour early to show off at the bar, order the chicken and mange.
